  1. curly quotes only; no straight quotes, never!
  2. one space between sentences!
  3. do not underline in a printed document.
  4. serif font with italic or bold: GOOD
  5. sans serif font with italic: BAD
  6. sans serif font with bold: GOOD
  7. the hypen is used in multipart words or phrasal adjectives
  8. the en-dash denotes a range of values or a contrast
  9. the em-dash signals a break between phrases
